Good Grief! is an hour-long heartfelt dance-clown-media slip ‘n slide that lays bare how pain is so close to pleasure, loss is so close to love, and grief is an absurd, mixed-up process of clinging tight and letting go. Join us for this elegiac and erotic ritual theater piece that makes room to hoot, holler, and jostle loose a tear, a laugh, or anything else we might let go.
This dance-clown-burlesque show premiered at Philly Fringe’s Cannonball Fest in 2022 and has toured to Baltimore and Providence. Now it comes home.

Friday 6:30PM doors open for cocktails, food, live music. Cozy up in a Grief Nest: an intimate space to rest, write, make, and dream while you listen to live music.
Saturday 5:30PM The Garden of Grief & Love opens. Rest and dream in the Grief Nests, with live music and local nourishment from Dirtbaby Farms. Sign up for a 4–5:30 PM Resonant Body workshop with Tatyana Tenenbaum. Starting at 6pm, support Rough & Tumble by purchasing food or one of our signature cocktails/mocktails: Clown's Tears and A Fistful of Punch.
8PM Good Grief! show
9:15 PM: DJ Daddy Truckboxx (Dylan) spins a send-off and aftercare dance set
Come for the show, or come for it all. Stay to eat, rest, and linger in a space built to celebrate ephemerality, transformation, grief, and delight.
Tickets:
Good Grief! tickets are $15–40, sliding scale. A ticket price of $35 and up includes a drink token for one of our signature cocktails or NA beverages.
Garden of Grief & Love activities, food, and drinks are by donation.
